The Belfast Phoenix Choir
A mixed-voice choir based in Belfast singing popular and secular music
The Belfast Phoenix choir is a mixed voice choir for singers of any age and ability singing both popular and sacred music.

The choir is based in Belfast city centre with rehearsals every Tuesday at 7.30pm during term time at the Shaftsbury Square Reformed Presbyterian Church on Belfast’s Dublin Road (side entrance on the right).
The Phoenix Choir began life as the Ormiston in 1936 under conductor William Boyd. When he was laid to rest the choir rose again as the Phoenix Choir

The choir is for all ages and voices as we’re mixed – soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
You don’t have to read music to join. It is an advantage but we sing some very recognisable pieces of music so you can join by ear.
