The Belfast Phoenix Choir

A mixed-voice choir singing sacred and popular music

About us

Originally founded as the Orniston Choir, the Belfast Phoenix Choir took its current name in 1988 and has been going strong ever since.

This is a mixed-voice choir for soprano, alto, tenor and bass which caters for all ages and singing abilities. All are welcome here and an audition is not required to join.

The choir is conducted by Mark McGrath and we tend to sing sacred music with popular pieces, particularly old Hollywood tunes from the 1930s, 40s and 50s. You’ll find everything here from Bach to Irving Berlin.

We’re always looking for new members so if you would like to join or just to try us out for an evening, please feel free to join in.

You can keep up to date with our upcoming events through the tab above or by signing up to our events page above.
